A Canadian buys up entire flower stock to offer to seniors

Rene Blais, a Canadian, was walking along when he saw a truck full of flowers. Then and there, he decided to buy the entire stock and asked the owner, Joline Willsey, to drive the truck to the city retirement home.

Once there, all the seniors were given flowers and they were able to put together their own arrangements to decorate their bedrooms. With this action, Blais changed the day for Willsey, who sold all her stock, and for the seniors, facing difficult times because of the pandemic.

"Isn't this one of the sweetest things you've ever seen?!? My heart is so full from being a part of this amazing experience this afternoon", said the owner of the truck.

Blais’s idea inspired three Canadian businessmen who the following week contacted Willsey and arranged for bouquets of flowers to be given to another group of seniors and their carers.

Lá, ofereceu as flores aos idosos, que puderam criar os seus próprios arranjos para enfeitar seus quartos. Com a ação, Blais mudou o dia de Willsey, que vendeu todo o estoque, e dos idosos, que têm enfrentado dias difíceis em tempos de pandemia.

“Não é uma das coisas mais doces que você já viu? Meu coração está tão feliz de fazer parte desta experiência incrível esta tarde”, afirmou a proprietária da camionete.

A iniciativa de Blais inspirou três empresários canadenses, que na semana seguinte procuraram Willsey para oferecer arranjos de flores a outro grupo de idosos e seus cuidadores.
