A 16-year old American teenager was saved from a man who had kidnapped her two days earlier when she used a hand signal for help that went viral on social media. It was created to help victims of domestic violence request help without having to speak.
While she was being driven by her kidnapper in the state of Kentucky, the young girl made the signal to the driver in the car beside her. He recognised the communication and told the police. She was rescued later that day.

Uma adolescente norte-americana de 16 anos foi salva de um sequestro que já durava dois dias após usar um sinal de ajuda que viralizou nas redes sociais. O gesto foi criado para auxiliar vítimas de violência doméstica a pedirem ajuda sem precisarem falar.
Enquanto era levada em um carro pelo sequestrador no estado de Kentucky, a jovem fez o gesto para o motorista do veículo ao lado, que reconheceu a comunicação e avisou a Polícia. Ela foi resgatada pouco tempo depois.
