Americans Pam and Gary Willis already have five grown up children and even grandchildren, when they saw on TV the tragic story about the seven siblings who were orphaned when their parents died in a car crash.
Although the couple had not considered having more children they applied to adopt. The siblings, aged between 4 and 15, had been in foster care and believed they would be separated when the time came for adoption.

According to Pam, the adoptive mother, “it was great fun to bring them into their home and tell them it is their forever home”.

Os norte-americanos Pam e Gary Willis já tinham cinco filhos adultos e até netos quando viram na televisão uma história trágica em que sete irmãos ficaram órfãos após perderem os pais em um acidente de carro.
Embora o casal não pensasse em ter mais filhos, mobilizou-se e entrou com um pedido de adoção. Os irmãos, com idades entre quatro e 15 anos, estavam em um abrigo temporário e acreditavam que seriam separados para a adoção.
De acordo com Pam, a mãe adotiva, “foi muito bom trazê-los para casa e dizer-lhes que é o lar deles para sempre”.
