The family of 9-year old Reese Osterberg lost their home in the terrible California fires last month. Although her parents were able to remove most of their belongings before the fire got there, they left behind a collection of 100 baseball cards that young Reese had collected over a period of three years.
When the firefighters heard that Reese was passionate about baseball and devastated at losing her collection, they created a campaign on social media to find people who would be willing to donate their cards. That is how they met Kevin Ashford, who had 25 thousand cards stored in his garage.
