On September 8, the Jewish Community of Oporto donated 15,000 euros to Leket Israel, the largest food bank in the country. The donation was delivered by Dias Ben Zion, President of the Jewish Community of Oporto, to Gidi Kroch, CEO of Leket Israel. The donation is the result of the revenue from the film The Light of Judah (A Luz de Judá), released in June on streaming platforms. The project was carried out based on a collaboration protocol signed by the Bishop of Oporto, the Jewish Community of Oporto and B’nai B’rith International.
According to Dias Ben Zion, "our community is committed to the State of Israel, and we are excited to have been able to deliver on our promise and donate the film's product, especially after Covid-19."
In Portugal, Oporto's Food Bank (Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome do Porto) and three other institutions linked to the Diocese of Porto will benefit from the film's revenues.

No dia 8 de setembro, a Comunidade Judaica do Porto doou 15 mil euros ao Leket Israel, o maior banco de alimentos do país. O donativo foi entregue por Dias Ben Zion, presidente da Comunidade Judaica do Porto, a Gidi Kroch, CEO da Leket Israel.
A doação é fruto das receitas do filme A Luz de Judá, lançado em junho em plataformas de streaming. O projeto foi realizado a partir de um protocolo de colaboração assinado pelo Bispo do Porto, pela Comunidade Judaica do Porto e pelo B’nai B’rith Internacional.
Conforme Dias Ben Zion, “a nossa comunidade está comprometida com o Estado de Israel, e estamos entusiasmados por termos conseguido cumprir a nossa promessa e doar o produto do filme, especialmente depois do Covid-19”.
Em Portugal, o Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome do Porto e outras três instituições vinculadas à Diocese do Porto serão beneficiadas com as receitas do filme.
