Robert Carter, a 29 year-old American, make a surprising decision: he singlehandedly adopted five siblings living in three different foster homes. The reason for that Carter had been separated from his own siblings at the age of 12, leading a lonely existence in foster homes.
He began adoption proceedings for the three boys but was not satisfied until he managed to get custody of the two girls. He realises that he is shouldering a huge responsibility as the single father of five children but is committed to giving his children a good future: “I am creating memories to replace many of the bad memories”, he said.
